South Africa Thand’ Sana Eastern Cape orphanage babies project most of the babies are HIV infected. And the care is physical, psycho-social, spiritual, medical and educational needs of the child. The immense need as babies are being abandoned by their families. Department Social Development in South Africa and the National Council for Child Welfare report that 260 babies are abandoned per month. 80 percent of children are orphaned due to HIV and AIDS. 23 percent of the countries AIDS Orphans are located in the Eastern Cape.
